The FBI Targets the SSPX

Recently it has emerged that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had planned a bit of a fishing expedition in Richmond, Virginia, in an apparent attempt to see if any unsavoury or seditious anti-American activity was afoot in one of Marcel Lefebvre’s chapels.

Of course, I would imagine that the heresy of Americanism is not welcome inside the walls of an SSPX chapel, but that an SSPX location would be a hotbed for seditious and revolutionary anti-American activity is patently absurd.

As an SSPX partisan who has been accused himself of being some shade of Libertarian, I can tell you that a disregard or principled disrespect for the civil authority is an idea that is a hard sell amongst the traditionalists of the SSPX. We usually lean toward an integralist, Distributist, or corporatist political philosophy. Any notion that such behaviour would be common – if present to any degree – at an SSPX chapel is laughable to anyone who has spent even five minutes perusing Marcel Lefebvre’s magnum opus, They Have Uncrowned Him.

At any rate, it was Rep. Jim Jordan who unearthed documents stating that the FBI planned to “engage in outreach to leadership” of SSPX chapels in Richmond area “to sensitize these congregations to warning signs of radicalization & to enlist their assistance to serve as suspicious activity tripwires.”

Jordan stated that at least one undercover employee sought to use local religious organizations as “new avenues for tripwire and source development.” This activity was not relegated to the SSPX, as even so-called “mainline Catholic parishes” and local “diocesan leadership” was also under the microscope.

The FBI, according to a letter released by Jordan, “purported to categorize Catholic Americans based on theological distinctions and relied on the Southern Poverty Law Center to suggest that certain kinds of Catholic Americans may be domestic terrorists.”

It should be noted that the Southern Poverty Law Center is an organization so detestable that it is likely to label you a terrorist for not drinking Bud Light after that cross-dresser became the spokesman. There are also many other reasons not to drink Bud Light, mainly because it isn’t actually a beer.

The information presented by Jordan was gathered from a document generated by the Richmond field office, which has since been retracted, called “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities.”

What does this mean in layman’s terms?

I spoke with a friend who spent decades working in the American Intel Community – who for obvious reasons wishes to remain anonymous – who explained to me what is going on.

In essence, it seems that an intelligence analyst for the FBI presented some sort of report that was considered by the FBI leadership in the Richmond area that sought to portray traditional Catholics as some sort of potential threat to national security. What this means is that some woke staffer had a bone to pick with Trads and thought he or she might find a way to label you and me as potential domestic terrorists because of our adherence to the Roman Catechism and love for the Latin Mass.

Since the revelation of the fishing expedition, the FBI has been engaging in damage control. Last week, Rep. Jeff Van Drew grilled an FBI employee during a hearing, asking: “It’s okay to be Roman Catholic, right?”

Van Drew asked the FBI employee, “What is radical Catholic ideology? What’s that about?” The FBI stooge fumbled through a response, but did manage to call the “product” – meaning the report – “inexcusable.”

Van Drew pressed him further, asking: “What would ever lead anybody to think that they could start investigating?”

Ironically, Van Drew admitted to being a bit of a lukewarm Catholic but was still shocked that the FBI, in any capacity, could be interested in the beliefs of Latin Mass-attending Catholics.

He pressed even further asking how a report could “ever get through at all.”

Ultimately, we all know why some members of the FBI are interested in traditional Catholics, because we know that the One True Faith is the fly in the ointment that stands in the way of the woke globalists who have coopted American society.

In this age of antichrist ideology, it is the traditional Catholic Faith that represents the true resistance to the New World Order and an endtimeseque push for a global One World Government.

As traditionalists, we understand that the rights of Christ the King supersede the godless ambitions of apostate Joe Biden and the Davos crowd. We understand that ultimately, as Saint Paul wrote: “… our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

We know – and they know – that the rulers in the “high places” are the demons who animate the goals and initiatives of the Satanic overlords who seek to destroy all that remains of Christian civilization. The powers-that-be understand full well that the integral Catholic faith is completely opposed the spirit of the age.

They know that if given the opportunity we would say to them: “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him.” (John 8:44)

As with the “Rosary extremist” debacle that arose after the Atlantic published a horrid piece linking some amorphous gun-culture to Rosary-praying Catholics, the anti-Catholic hatred fomented by the FBI has sparked significant backlash.

Well-known conservative commentator Jack Posobiec – a man who has expressed a deep love for the traditional Mass – said yesterday on his show: “You see this right here? This is my Rosary, and if you want it, FBI, you can come and take it from my cold dead hands.”

Ultimately, this is both a warning to Catholics and also a bit of good news. On the one hand it is alarming that your local TLM might have a few Feds in the pews taking notes about your pre-conciliar extremism. On the other hand, you know that praying your Rosary and praying in Latin is so effective that national policing services seem to be as much concerned with your piety as they are with the boogaloo boys. It is another testament as to how powerful the traditional Catholic Faith really is, as even the FBI is worried about the influence that abuelas and nonnas might have on the culture by simply kneeling in front of icons with an Ave on their lips.

In addition, the FBI has been able to recognize something that even so many esteemed theologians fail to recognize, namely, that the SSPX is in the Catholic Church.
