Our friends at the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter have some mission trips coming up in Mexico and Peru, and they’ve asked me to help spread the word before registration closes. I’ve written before about my own experiences as a Catholic missionary in the 1990s, which I would have to say were among the most formative experiences of my life. If anything, I’d say going out and actually living The Great Commission played a big role in doing what I do today. Of the six missions I went on, my most profound memories were of the mission in Mexico. It was the closest I ever came to experiencing what the great Jesuit missionaries of centuries past must have experienced in their travels.
What the missionaries on these trips will have that I didn’t is a daily Traditional Latin Mass to nourish them spiritually as they undertake the task of working and evangelizing during their journeys. Some images of previous missions with the FSSP are below, followed by the details of the upcoming trips for those who would like to sign up.
If your current state in life would allow you to go, I highly recommend it.
