Does thou betray the Son of Man with a kiss?

Three days hence, and the Cross will be lifted up on Calvary.

Whatever soul of you wishes to be truly faithful, anoint like Mary the feet of the Lord.

But on the chastisement that is to befall Jerusalem, he gives this more definite answer.

Today, if ye shall hear the voice of the Lord, harden not your hearts.

O foolish consultation and blinded rage!

The multitude that stood and heard said that it thundered.

That the dignity of human nature, which hath been wounded by excess, may be cured by the practice of healing temperance.

That he may make us partakers of the divine nature.

Justice required that Satan should be vanquished by God made man.
