Cardinal Marx Opens the Door to Blessing Homosexual Unions

Today, 3 February, Cardinal Reinhard Marx — the President of the German Bishops’ Conference — suggests a further opening with regard to the idea of establishing a  blessing from the German Catholic Church to be given to homosexual couples. In an interview with the Bavarian radio station Bayerischer Rundfunk BR, Cardinal Marx refers to Pope Francis’ call of accompanying people more closely in their individual lives, and Marx calls for more pastoral care for homosexuals. When asked about the question of a blessing for homosexual couples, Marx thus proposes “that we be pastorally closer to those [such as homosexuals] who are also in need of that pastoral care and who also desire it.” He continues, saying:

There we also have to give encouragement that the priests and pastoral caretakers also give words of encouragement to the people in concrete situations. I really do not see there any problems. Another question is how this would be done publicly, in a liturgical form, that is where one has to be reticent and also reflect upon that in a good way.

When asked whether he could imagine such a blessing for homosexual couples, Cardinal Marx answers: “There are no general solutions; I do not consider it [such a general solution] to be right, because it is about the pastoral care for individuals.” These are cases “where we do not have a rule,” he explains. “And that does not mean that there is nothing happening.”

Cardinal Marx adds:

This I really have to leave up to the local pastor and the accompaniment of that person. One can think about this in a dialogue — and right now, there is taking place such a discussion [raised by the Vice President of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Franz-Josef Bode] — that is to say, about how we could deal with this matter, but I would say I would leave this strongly in the hands of the local pastor, in a very concrete situation, and not to demand rules in this matter. There are things that cannot be regulated.

With these still somewhat vague words (which seem to be a characteristic of Cardinal Marx’ public speech) — and in light of a more decentralized approach — Cardinal Marx opened up to the idea of priests giving, in certain individual cases, a blessing to homosexual couples. These words come in the wake of a recent call for such a blessing as proposed by the Vice-President of the German Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Franz-Josef Bode. He said in January of 2018, when discussing the idea of a blessing of homosexual couples: “We have to reflect upon the question as to how to assess in a differentiated manner a relationship between two homosexual persons.” “Is there not so much positive and good and right so that we have to be more just?”

Moreover, Cardinal Marx had recently claimed that it is hard to determine whether someone is living in the state of mortal sin. He applied this question also to homosexual couples. He also called for “a respect for a decision made in freedom” and for one’s “conscience.”

Mathias von Gersdorff — German pro-life activist and book author — comments today on Cardinal Marx’s proposal of more private individual blessings of homosexual couples with the following words:

That is nothing but a fig leaf. When it is acceptable to bless homosexual couples in individual cases, then that means that (practiced) homosexuality is no obstacle any more.

In the wake of these prominent and high-ranking encouragements with respect to homosexual couples, a German diocese now proposes  even more concrete steps for the establishment of an official liturgical blessing for homosexual couples. With the explicit encouragement of the Bishop of the Diocese of Limburg, Johannes zu Eltz — a high-ranking priest, canon, and Dean of the City of Frankfurt (with a responsibility for around 150,000 souls) — has now made a public proposal to have a “theologically justified blessing” for those couples who are either homosexual, “remarried,” or who for other reasons do not feel “sufficiently worthy” for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Zu Eltz now proposes a “liturgical celebration” that “omits the exchange of rings or the utterance of a marital vow.” Rather, one could, “with respect for a reliable partnership,” ask for God’s blessing “for a successful future of something that already exists.”

      • Bad, or rather, non existent catechetics in two generations of Catholics now (at least). People don’t even know what they don’t know which allows this overweight guy in the picture above to tell them anything.

    • Don’t laugh. Doubtlessly their is rough copy already on the desktop. It appears to be a sacrament of initiation for the fembots and their sycophants. You have no idea what “Christian” feminists are up to — they are capable of distorting and twisting anything and everything to their purpose.

      • They have great power in the chancelleries, in the seminaries, in so many of the ” pastoral ministries” within many dioceses here in the US. They are cunning, deceptive, and to be quite blunt about, ” little eves” before their bishop.

    • From Wikipedia:However, he has been criticized by some anti-abortion groups for signalling his approval to issue the ‘morning-after pill’ in German Catholic hospitals, which could potentially destroy a viable embryo

    • While it’s still a crime, excommunication is no longer the penalty. However, if he was a mason BEFORE 1983 and the new code then he would have been excommunicated then… I wonder if such an excommunication is rescinded when the new law went into effect? Hmmm…

      • As a catholic,I am horrified, and never thought I would read a blasphemy lyk e this from a cardinal, they cannot see the truth anymore .They forgot the Word of God ,we are very close I think to the last days.

    • “Worst of luck” to him.

May Cardl. Marx receive the trials of Job. May life turn completely against him until he is driven to his knees in repentance, publicly, and he is received in heaven one day with joy by his Maker, along with all those he is (or was) leading to everlasting hell, as the lost sheep who were found.

  1. They are accelerating the onslaught, realizing that time is running out.
Just executing their plan in phases. 1st one is in, aka authentic magisterium, phase 2 is now out in the open.
If you accept phase 1, you have no logical reasons to refuse phase 2. After all, who can deny anyone’s need for accompaniment, mercy, pastoral care, etc, etc, after a proven track record of faithfulness, genuine friendship, love, personal sacrifices, etc, etc between 2 people who…..happen to be of the same sex……get with the program, will you?
Now….if you think about it, if you accept phase 2, there is no logical reasons to reject love among 3 (or more) people of same (or different sex). Anything goes, you are welcomed into the Church of Nice, and everyone’s happy……

  2. You have got to be joking Cardinal! Thank God I went to a preparatory seminary for high school in the late 1950’s. At least then, absolute truth was taught. Theological Truth is not subjective, it is absolute and unchangeable. What happened to Absolute Thomistic Theology? What happened to the teachings of the Fathers of the Church? Please don’t ask as in the psalms; Ubi est Deus? He is right there with you, listening and watching. He will not be mocked forever.

  3. This has always been the main goal of Francis and his acolytes; the blessing of sodomy. You got a problem with that, you “rigid”, “doctor of the law”? We caught a glimpse of this in the fake, pre-fabricated interim relatio of the 2014 Extraordinary Synod on the Family.

This is why our own James Martin SJ, is so emboldened. He knows, through the lavender mafia, what’s going down in Rome and elsewhere. This is orchestrated and coordinated. He has friends like Marx in high places and feels secure.

I’m starting to think that the Islamic influx into Germany might not be such a bad idea after all. The corruption has reached apocalyptic proportions and it may be the means used by God to clean out the filth which is submerging the Church.

    • The Muslims are queer too, of course. Islam is the most homosexual of the major cultures on Earth, though it is technically against the Koranic teaching. It’s more of the Ancient Greek style, in which it consists of grown men imposing themselves on teenage boys. That was its basic paradigm from the beginning, as it was in Ancient Greece. The Greek city states fought each other constantly, every year, basically, but they had no standing armies (such as Rome was to develop so famously). [N.B. Sparta: the whole body of citizenry were the army, as it were; so even there, it wasn’t a professional service such as Rome developed.] ]So an older warrior had to take a teenager on as a sort of page, to teach him the ropes. And over time it developed into quasi-homosexual relationships, and finally full-scale sodomy.

But one thing to remember: the “passive partner” in such unions was excoriated by everyone. He was “playing the female” and viciously mocked. Even today. to call someone (it’s the same word as in Classic Greek, IIRC) a “bottom” is to issue a deadly insult.

      • Pederasty in Islam is the logic consequence of polygamy. A man who owns 4 spouses (or more…) prevents 3 other men having even one. Then these last ones fulfill their sexual needs with men since no woman is available.

        • Interesting, but from what I understand via reading a bit (some) in modern research is that no heterosexual male is going to “go gay” because of a lack of females. Same with heterosexual priests: they’re not “going gay” because the ladies are absent. One has to have the homosexual (demonic) oppression to find anyone of the same sex attractive in a sexual manner.

However, if it is true that all male homosexuals have some sort of dysfunctional relationship with their fathers, then a culture that had one father and many wives would naturally produce a distant, otherwise occupied dad. Sons would grow up in the harem and only when they were old enough to learn to fight be introduced to their father. By that time their personality was long since “set” (they say by the age of six or so). Alexander the Great is a classic (pun intended) example: he couldn’t stand his father Philip and only got to know him when he, Alexander, was old enough to do guy things like ride a horse and so on. On top of that, Philip preferred men anyway, and his (one-time) wife, Olympia, was the all-time example of domineering mother.

          • “understand via reading a bit (some) in modern research is that no heterosexual male is going to “go gay””

The author of whatever you are reading needs to spend a little time in a corrections environment, where “gay for the stay” is well known term. Also the old saw about the British Navy running on “rum and sodomy” is instructive about the matter.

        • Another great advantage of the Islamic family structure is that it is wonderful for war. If 75% of the able bodied men are killed or horribly disabled, the population is restored within one generation. Rather different to the situation after 1918 when many European women remained single or widowed.

      • Walid Shoebat has frequently made the point that Islam, far from being anti-homosexuality is actually against effeminized men more than homosexuality, of which it can be surprisingly tolerant.

        • Indeed, and in their “Garden of Allah” besides the 72 Virgins, they have “youths” waiting about to do the men’s slightest wish — and in such a culture, one presumes that includes carnal wish fulfillment.

    • There can be absolutely no doubt that this pre-conceived, orchestrated and Soros-financed Islamic invasion is being used as a means of punishment and correction of the post-Christian West by the Powers of Heaven. It is a strategy which God has employed throughout history.

    • As other posters below have indicated, the mystical branch of Islam is plainly sodomitical and pederastic. Good to see that the message is getting out. I suspect it is one major, unspoken reason as to why our depraved clergy are so sympathetic to Islam.

The ultimate humiliation has to be poor old Cardinal Law, late of Boston, who was down on his face praying to Allah in a local mosque in November 2002. This was shortly before his departure to Rome and a year after his leading the mourning in the wake of 9/11. Talk about the punishment fitting the crime. Law had just presided over a series of horrible paedo crimes and now he was visibly grovelling before a religion whose Prophet married a nine year old.

  4. The more this develops the more I want to see them go all the way. Then there will be no more excuses for our local bishops to keep their mouths shut. They will have to speak out or be exposed for exactly what they are. Cowards or enablers.
The third option is faithful Christian men, priests — bishops of Christ’s Church who won’t take this nonsense anymore. I’m not holding my breath.
    Let it hit the fan.
But today I got my mailing from the Archdiocesan Appeal. No money at all for them, no adult contribution. Not a dime.

    • I’ve not given to my DDD for three years since the diocese invited the Dominican Radcliffe to speak at a local parish. He who expounds on his sodomy is Eucharistic theme.

      • Exactly. If Pope Francis is willing to appoint creatures like Monsignor Ricca and Timothy Radcliffe to Vatican positions, why should we be surprised that Cardinal Marx is willing to float the idea of same sex blessings?

My parish priest is giving us earache because the weekly collection is falling. Possibly people are voting with their wallets because he has again been pushing the eco garbage of Laudato Sii. Or maybe because they do not wish to subscribe to any number of other suspect initiatives.

    • Exactly, James. “Let it hit the fan.”

I think God gives you what you want. And seine Gnade Marx and the rest sure seem to want the queer thing. Don’t they know it will do to them what it does to its own acolytes? Satan always breaks his tools when he’s done with ’em.
Being something of a Classics scholar (as well as a Daltaí na Gaeilge, ar ndóiche), I know enough about homosexuality to know that the Ancient Greeks themselves loathed it, even as it besotted them. Their legend of the first homosexual, a king of Thebes (IIRC), pictured him was a murderer, also. And of course the Homosexual Collective has the Emperor Nero as a patron saint!

As it’s one of the heinous sins that “cries out from the ground”, they’re playing with a most horrible fire. I stand transfixed, spellbound, as they rush into it.

    • Yep….in my diocese too……there was a box to check that said: “I don’t wish to give at this time.”…….CHECK!

    • I’m so sick of the endless requests for money. Let them ask their masters in the political left.

I have my own family to take care of, and since I’m not an illegal alien and my modest income doesn’t qualify me as “poor”, I’m “marginalized” and “excluded”.

  5. Treachery everywhere at the moment – blatant, blasphemous treachery. And you can bet these antichrists will say that their treachery is a work of the Holy Spirit who now blesses “concrete situations” of sin – allegedly.

  6. The pope already did that for the world to see…..particularly for his little minions. Remember his scandalous imagery embracing the homosexual ‘couple’ ? Who could forget? Marxx has been given the green lite. My question, again remains; do the cardinals have any “line in the sand” by which they will call a Council to decide for once and for all: ….a few things…in order to save souls and defend the faith? Or are they so into themselves and their self importance?

    • Most of them don’t even believe the faith. I really don’t think Francis will be dethroned. Not anymore. At some point he will be anathematized posthumously, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon, unless we get a truly faithful prelate with a backbone as his successor… I’m certain Cardinal Sarah wouldn’t do it though (he does seem to be a favorite proponent for many of the faithful but he just seems weak.) Even if Burke somehow got elected, I don’t think he would condemn him wholly. He’d condemn AL I think, but not the Francis papacy.

      • No they indeed don’t believe the Faith. They are the texbook examples of hirelings, not shepherds. Marx gets a salary of approx 180,000 euros per annum, the other GermChurch Bishops all get well over 120,000 per annum (in US Dollars 180,000 would be about 200,000 I reckon).

        • Albrecht von Brandenburg started the Reformation (in effect) in 1514 when he got Leo X to sell him the archbishopric of Mains (the primatal see in Germany, and it also made him an Elector of the Holy Roman Empire). Albrecht was already the Archbishop of Magdeburg, but he wanted to hold two archbishoprics at the same time. Selling of bishoprics and the position of abbot, etc., was common enough on the Continent, but no one had ever been so bold or crazy as to want to hold TWO ARCHBISHOPRICS!
The cost of the deal was so high, however, that Leo gave Albrecht permission to sell indulgences, and that got the ire up of a certain Augustinian professor, who began to protest all this venality in late 1517.

      • I don’t understand how Sarah could be weak, given the way he stood up for years against the Marxist dictator (who died a month before his planned murder of Sarah).

I am wondering if Bergoglio ordered him to be silent. That would certainly account for it. If Sarah believes him to be a valid pope, he would obey.

It would be a bitter irony, considering the title of his last book.

        • “I don’t understand how Sarah could be weak, given the way he stood up for years against the Marxist dictator (who died a month before his planned murder of Sarah).”

Cardinal Sarah, Cardinal Burke, et al may be under pressures we cannot imagine. We must pray for them, not turn on them.

          • One of the Chinese bishops who is ordered to give up his diocese by the Pope to a communist bishop just said that though remaining faithful to the Holy See, he is considering leaving the priesthood.

        • A Pope cannot order a cardinal to shut up when he speaks the truth.
If Card Sarah complies, the he is a coward too.
The times of the Inquisition courts is over. Nobody can be jailed, even tortured, for voicing aloud opinions contrary to the heresies and nonsense uttered by the Pope.

        • Look, I share your frustration, but I implore you not to turn on Cardinal Burke. We are down to very few bishops and Cardinals who believe in the true Catholic faith and have at least acknowledged the Church is in crisis. We may be exasperate by their inaction, but we should not disparage them. They need our prayers.

      • “Most of them don’t even believe the faith. I really don’t think Francis will be dethroned. Not anymore. At some point he will be anathematized posthumously…”.

Truer words were never spoken…. The best we can hope for is that the “legacy” of Pope Francis is one day totally blotted out of the history of the Church, all of his “teachings”, all of of his “shake and bake” canonizations, all of it.

  7. Again its the repudiation of intrinsic evil argued philosophically by Prof Gerhard Hover, and as an ethical premise by the Pontiff in AL. “Concrete circumstances” change the moral character of the evil act, homosexuality if stability and good are perceived. Consequently it is Man that determines good or evil. God simply approves. Satan’s ultimate insult to Christ. This can’t continue while the majority of Bishops remain either silent or in approval. We’re hurtling toward a showdown with Our Lord.

    • May God give us what we need, when we need it.

Dear Mother Mary, watch over your priestly sons, whom you love more than anything.
Console their fears, protect them from the mischief that is surrounding them, and help them to know, that their Heavenly Father is so very proud of their courage, their fidelity to the Church: to His Son, Jesus Christ. And please, Holy Mother, never let them succumb to self-loathing, or recriminations for failures. Smack away Satan when he tries!

There is nothing greater in this world than to serve Christ in His priesthood.
      God bless you Father Morello.

Thank you for responding to the call that our Lord asked of you.

      • “Concrete circumstances” and situation ethics are precisely the same thing. “Situation ethics” is a term understood by everyone. “Concrete circumstances” initially takes some thinking about, and can even sound like a “good selling point” if passed over superficially. But it’s just more verbal gymnastics with a particular end in mind. It is devious and cunning, just like the Infernal One who inspires such artifice.

    • Tell me this blessing hasn’t been going on for at least the last 30 years; no wonder the majority of Bishops remain either silent or in approval. What was the goal of the homosexual network of dissent , that is to elect a Pope who would “officially” change the teaching prohibiting homosexual acts, and with it as part of the ‘package’ re-marriage and contraception; this goal is being accomplished step by step right before our very eyes .

      • They (bishops) keep silent because they have to keep their positions. Their possibility of climbing higher would be impeded if they go against the current. I asked my parish priest if the bishop- nominee has to take an oath of allegiance to Freemasonry prior to his consecration . He replied, “I am ‘not aware of’ but I can feel the presence and force of evil all around.” After reading and researching Pre-and post Vatican II issues, I can certainly say that it is time to suck out the pervading ‘smokes of satan’ and fumigate the church of freemason influence so much evident within the church hierarchy.

      • It does seem that this nightmare was as you say in the works by a cohort of men and their sympathizers with terribly misguided intent. If not malevolent. There are others with good judgment and credentials that agree with this interpretation. That is why my leaning is toward calling it a Satanic final Putsch against the Church. Never has the identity of the person of Christ been so formidably attacked in a way that far surpasses the Arian heresy that was theological in essence, certainly important but not understood by the vast majority so it didn’t impact practice of the faith. The attempt to normalize homosexuality and bless abominable sexual acts is only part of the overall agenda perpetrated by the highest ecclesiastic authorities to change virtually all crimes against Christ and goodness. It completely reverses morality and sweeps away the Apostolic Tradition. It must be opposed to the point of shedding blood as did the martyrs who offered their lives in witness to Christ.

        • “It must be opposed to the point of shedding blood as did the martyrs who offered their lives in witness to Christ.”
Yes, but if I understand St. Thomas Aquinas correctly, then it is the heretics that should be executed because they are a grave danger to souls…after being declared so by competent Church authority.

    • Why do you see nationality when they behave a way you don’t like, but not when they might do the opposite? Benedict XVI. is German, Cardinal Brandmüller, Cardinal Meisner. Josef Seifert is German-Austrian. Bishop Athanasius Schneider was born into a black sea German family (after World War II his parents were forcebly removed from Berlin to the the Ural Mountains), after 1973 he remigrated to West-Germany. According to Wikipedia, Athanasius Schneider, while being auxilliar Bishop in Kazakhstan, has German nationality.

Besides that, Christian Identity in Germany has for a very long time either been guelphic or ghibellinic (, pro-Roman or anti-Roman. Before Protestantism, even before the Investiture Controversy between the Holy Roman Emperor and the Pope. It goes back to the forced Christianisation of the Saxon tribe by the Frankish tribe and the inheritance of the Frankish and Holy Roman Crown/Throne rather shortly after by the Saxon Ottonians. In Germany, the homeland of Protestantism, Reformation/Protestantism is seen as an expression of national identity, a Germanization and Perferction of Christianity (just like Shia or Shiite Islam is, in a way, a Persianization of Islam), not as just another denomination in contrast to Catholicism.

      • Pope benedict is a conservative and one of the reasons I converted to Catholicism. I actually like him very much. I’m not looking at nationality at all, but you have to admit that much of the modernist movement is coming out of that country. I only wish benedict was still our pope.

  8. They can give out all the blessing they want, God is the one who actually provides/sanctions the blessing. Just like I can hand out all the monopoly money I want doesn’t mean you can buy anything with it.

      • Did you know that satan himself wish the same!?
It’s, above all, his ultimate goal, as many as possible get out of the only true Catholic and Apostolic Church.
That exactly reason why he has infiltrated his agents inside.
We must never flee nor surrender Christ Church into the hands of any kind of enemies.
But remain faithful and fight against Evil and all his minions.

      • No need to leave the Church. Simply join an SSPX parish. They are in the periphery but truly Catholic and have been resisting the insanity for 50 years.

        • Do their Masses satisfy the Sunday obligation? I don’t think so. That’s the only reason I didn’t go to the SSPX last year,

          • Yes, they fulfill the Sunday Obligation. Research Father Z’s site. He recently (mid January?) wrote a long column in response to someone wondering the same thing.

          • Why wouldn’t their Masses satisfy the Sunday obligation? It’s precisely with the SSPX that you can rest assured that the sacraments are valid. On the other hand if you go to the NO bastard mass then you can start to ask questions about whether they fulfill the Sunday obligation. It’s after all a wicked rite that is most displeasing to God. I long for the day when it is finally forbidden.

          • I agree with everything you say about the NO. It’s an abomination. The SSPX was excommunicated when
Archbishop Lefebvre consecrated four bishops without permission from the Pope. As a result they are in an irregular status. Their Masses do not satisfy the Sunday obligation.

          • If schismatic Eastern Orthodox Masses are valid, according to the Vatican, then SSPX Masses must be valid too.

      • It’s been tried. That principle has led to tens of thousands of disagreeing communities of Christians. And they are all falling apart too, except for the newbie communities that haven’t been around long enough to fall apart.

The Great Apostasy is a tsunami that his everything.

The only safe place is in fidelity to the true magisterium of the Church founded by Jesus Christ.

      • Wrong answer, anti-Catholic propaganda and telling people to leave the Church are not permitted under 1P5’s posting guidelines and for good reason. Better to die excommunicated by heretics while maintain the Catholic Faith that to abandon the Church which Christ established in His own Blood.

      • “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
“The gates of hell shall never prevail against it (the church).”

The words of the scriptures whose infallibility is guaranteed by the Church, founded by Christ.

      • 68 Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away?

69 And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

70 And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God.

      • fasting and praying, that’s about all you can do, there’s no way short of help from heaven to rouse up a Catholic army to physically remove this devil from his luxury mansion, take him out and tar and feather him so I guess we can do the next best thing: fast and pray the rosary.

  9. Cardinal Marx, what an interesting name, add “” to his last name and you have Marxist. Which sadly seems to be about the truth about this diabolical prelate. With his scruffy beard, he looks more like a wolf than a priest.

This fraud, this liar is leading souls to hell. He affirms that the Church can change it’s position on homosexuals who are actively living in sin. However this contradicts Church teaching on homosexuality. So is the Catholic Church of Jesus Christ or is it of man?

  10. >Open the door to blessing so-called “homosexual unions.”
    >Open the door to married priests.
Now all the homopriests can marry their sugar daddy’s! Come on, you didn’t think they actually care about people and their “concrete situations” did you?

    • You can be quite sure that if it is being publically floated by pro-deviants like Bode and Marx that it is already happening privately on the ground with their full knowledge and approval.

  11. The Catholic Church is following the zeitgeist – as many other lukewarm churches do – which is definitely not the Holy Spirit!

    • No. The Church is the Holy Church of Christ, now and always. Whatever bacchanal depraved men within the Church are conducting is on their souls. The Holy Church that they are charged with protecting and nurturing remains what it has always been, even if its honor suffers because of the actions of so many who are in it.

    • Karl doesn’t know how to discern the difference between the Church and churchmen. Your pastor down on the first protestant church of the hubba bubba ain’t doing you any favors.

    • “I will die Catholic, but the Catholic Church disgusts me, although the others are worse.”

Was it Churchill who said, “Democracy is the worst system there is, except for everything else”?

    • NO! The Church is not a Pagan Brothel! She is the Holy Bride of Christ and she is being ravished by unholy apostate men. You are in serious error and you do not understand the meaning of the Catholic Church, you are equating Her, who is in Heaven, on Earth and in Purgatory, with some of her corrupt ‘members’, who shall rot in Hell for eternity lest they sincerely repent, on Earth.
This is like condemning Jesus because Judas was an apostle.

      • Bergoglio is not a mere Bishop. He is an elected Pope. The corruption is ubiquitous. I understand where you are coming from but I have had enough. I hope to remain faithful to my abandoned marriage and to how I understand of what I was taught about Catholicism. But, I cannot and will not support the Church as it is being run. If Bergoglio is not evicted, because he will never repent except with his fingers crossed, the Catholic Church should dissolve.

    • Dear Karl,
      You couldn’t be more wrong!

      The Mystical Body of Christ
      is THE Church.

All Holy Souls in a state of grace or being purified comprise The Church Militant, Triumphant and Suffering.

Which the gates of Hell shall not prevail against.

So many Catholics of these past few decades seem to confuse the institutional structure of the Roman Catholic Church as if this is the totality of Christ’s body.

This human institution initiated by Christ has been, with God’s permissive will, to become infested with devilish men (like Judas) who are on a fools errand.

Namely, The destruction of Christ’s Church.

All here detest what the institutional church has become, the rot within and the partisans of error.

Please never give into the diabolical temptation to abandon Christ and His Church.

God is apparently willing or permitting this brutalization of the Catholic institution for His reasons.

IMHO we are at a crossroad in human history. Just as the Apostles didnt want to accept that Jesus had to go to His death.

So many Catholics of our era cannot envision that the brutalization, infestation and destruction of the institution is what Christ Jesus suffered. Not His will but the Father’s.

Live the Faith and die in the Faith.
      But mostly Live the Faith.

Ok my soap box is getting covered in snow.

Pray for me to persevere as I pray for you n all here.

    • Sorry, Karl, but Fr. RP and the others are right. You have to distinguish between the Church and *Churchmen*.

I know you’re hurt and angry. Please stay close to Our Lady of Sorrows. She will help you.

  12. “The situation is concrete. Do not demand rules. Some things cannot be regulated.”

I reject this Bishop as a heretic, and all those who follow him.

Sodomy is a choice, not concrete. The rules are made of Titanium against it.

Bishops, Cardinals; you will be judged for not proclaiming heresy against this. Many souls are being lost to hell. Every day.

    • Yes, but the problem is: We have a ton of Bishops and Cardinals that really don’t believe in Hell anymore, if they ever did! Fact of the matter is, they don’t believe in God or Satan either. They are freemasonic atheists out to destroy the Church of Christ. Some day they will, unfortunately, when they are in the deepest depths of hell.

  13. It used to be the Modernists were for “gradualism,” “accompanying” folks on a long journey (forgetting the thief in the night could come at any time) but with at least a pretense of taking them somewhere where they’d renounce their sins. Now, it’s just “accompanying” for the sake of “accompanying” with no expectation at all. Hey, what if my favorite sin is not sodomy but mugging fat Germans? Will you “accompany” me?

  14. The Douay Catechism of 1649
CHAP. XX. The Sins that cry to Heaven for Vengeance

    Q. 925. HOW many such sins are there?
    A. Four.
    . . .
    Q. 928. What is the second?
    A. The sin of Sodom, or carnal sin against nature, which is a voluntary shedding of the
seed of nature, out of the due use of marriage, or lust with a different sex.
    Q. 929. What is the scripture proof of this?
    A. Out of Gen. xix. 13. where we read of the Sodomites, and their sin. “We will destroy
this place because the cry of them hath increased before our Lord, who hath sent us to
destroy them,” (and they were burnt with fire from heaven.)

    • Which is literally true. Biblical Archeology Review did an article on the discovery of Sodom, and how it was destroyed. You have to read the footnotes, as they stashed the actual temperature that glassified particles of dirt out of the article itself. It was absolutely not a normal type of fire.

They speculate that a meteorite may have exploded above the city. Quite possible. The book of Revelation describes something that could be similar – a burning mountain falling into the sea.

      • It says “fire … from heaven’ So heavenly fire must be different from earthly fire or it would have just said ‘they were burnt with fire’ maybe.

        • Yes. It could have been miraculous fire from heaven, or an exploding meterorite from the sky. Hebrew uses the same word for heaven and for sky, so it could be translated as either fire from heaven, or fire from the sky.

The archeologists said that it was definitely not a normal earthly fire. They had excavated many ancient cities that had been burned in the usual manner, so they were well aware of the differences. The fire that destroyed Sodom was not a normal city fire.

The gates of Sodom, where Lot used to sit, were different than normal gates also. There was a mini-maze in front of them, so that invaders could not directly attack the gates.

The Buiblical Archeology Review article is very interesting.

          • Often wondered about that, particularly the fire in Purgatory and Hell. Like the burning bush which was not consumed? But it appears Sodom and gomorrah were reduced to nothingl well we can’t know everything. What we do know is enough to make us try to avoid it all.

        • I don’t, but go on the Biblical Archeology Review website and look. It was a few years ago, I’m pretty sure it was five more or less.

It also had a long discussion on the value of using the Bible to locate archeological sites. It was used to find the site of Sodom, and some people were throwing fits about it.

There were a number of photos of the dig. I mostly remember the one of the excavated city gates.

  15. ‘The Sodomite Will Suffer the Torments of Eternal Condemnation’

“Indeed, this scourge destroys the foundations of the faith, weakens the forces of hope, dissolves the bonds of charity, annihilates all justice, undermines fortitude, eliminates hope, and dulls the edge of prudence.

“And what else shall I say? For it [the sin of sodomy] expels all the forces of virtue from the temple of the human heart, and, as if pulling the door from its hinges, allows the entrance of every barbarity of vice ….

“In effect, the one whom …. this most atrocious beast has swallowed down its bloody throat is prevented, by the weight of its chains, from practicing any good work, and is precipitated into the abysses of his uttermost iniquity.

“Thus, as soon as someone has fallen into this abyss of extreme perdition, he is exiled from the heavenly motherland, separated from the Body of Christ, censured by the authority of the whole Church, condemned by the judgment of all the Holy Fathers, despised by men on earth and rebuked by the society of heavenly citizens. He creates for himself an earth of iron and a sky of bronze.

“On the one hand, laden with the weight of his crime, he is unable to rise; on the other hand, he is no longer able to conceal his evil in the refuge of ignorance. He cannot be happy while he lives nor have hope when he dies, because here and now he is obliged to suffer the ignominy of men’s derision and, later, the torment of eternal condemnation.”

St. Peter Damian, Liber gomorrhianus, cols. 175-177,
    apud Atila S. Guimaraes,
Vatican II, Homosexuality and Pedophilia, TIA, 2004, p. 297

        • I’m not aware of that book, or its message, so I missed the reference, but the Modernists clearly want to establish some kind of make-believe rite to give sodomy a make-believe dignity, no?

          • Randy Engel has been writing about this subject for years. Very reliable author. Google Randy Engel and check her out.

          • Thanks Margaret. I have found you to be reliable with previous books you have recommended to me, so I will look hers up as well.

          • You’re welcome. ???? I don’t recommend reading it after a meal, though – it will turn your stomach. It’s very serious reading. Randy is faithful to the teaching of the Church and really gets into the nitty gritty (emphasis on the gritty).

          • Thanks for the warning. Luckily, my waistline can afford skipping a meal or two (or many more than that) if necessary, and serious reading is about the only kind of reading that will hold my attention anymore.

  16. I will continue to pray for all of them, as we all should, but I have abandoned any expectation of seeing any heroic confrontation by the bishops and cardinals in opposition to this ever growing heresy hurricane. We need real men who stand boldly for the faith, calling heresy by name–publicly–so that all may know that sin is sin, and virtue is virtue. Black. White. What good are measured words, and polite, hat-in-hand, never-answered, requests for clarification when the sight of the Holy Faith being trampled under the feet of fallen-away clerics is clarification enough for the even most myopic among us? Where are the courageous ones? Where are those who should, long before now, have been moved to righteous anger, and righteous action. Even Jesus used a whip of chords when He saw desecration being done by the money changers; how do you churchmen think the sin of the money changers compares to the sin being conducted, high and low, in Christ’s Church right now?
Somebody please give me a nudge if you happen to see a real counter attack on the Modernist Heresy within the Church being implemented, ok? Until then it’s all just talk!

  17. “There are no general solutions; I do not consider it [such a general solution] to be right, because it is about the pastoral care for individuals.” These are cases “where we do not have a rule,” he explains. “And that does not mean that there is nothing happening.” If I were in front of this forked-tongue, mitered, and well-fed Teuton, I would be forced to say something along the lines of, “Cardinal, I don’t know how exactly to put this in proper and charitable Deutsch, but in down-home English, you’re slinging more shite here than a John Deere All-Purpose Manure Spreader in overdrive.”

  18. He does not have the Catholic faith; he is an apostate. These destroyers should be honest and just declare themselves Lutheran.

        • Bishop Bling of Munster spent $40 million on his castle
And now is working in the VATICAN!

HE gets a promotion for sin!

        • I always thought this ” living as brother and sister” was indeed not of Truth.
For how can one pretend to be ” married”, when one is not?

You have done the right thing Karl, if I recall from your previous posts. I am just a lay person here.
But, truly you have been a witness to the Truth, to Christ in honoring His Law of marital vow

We have all been ” let down” in different ways by so many, who were supposed to defend the faith,
          and support the faithful!

The nightmare is about to go up another notch, I am afraid. Take pity. Follow Christ always and first.
The days are coming, when it truly will be between each of us and our Lord; the way it should always be.
Francis is ” nothing” to the Church, in my eyes. Perhaps this is why I have no anger left for him?

Past popes have given and have been weak…… weak…….not trusting of the Holy Ghost as they should have been, in my opinion. Our Lord knows and understand ALL! I trust in Him alone!

      • When +Marx was bishop of Trier he gave the impression of being conservative, even suspensed some heretic priest as I recall.

          • Yes. It must be 12 or 14 years back now, there was an “Ecumenical Church Day” held, in Berlin I think it was, and a heretic Catholic priest celebrated a Protestant eucharist in which , instead of the words of consecration, he said something like “we are all the Body of Christ” and invited all and sundry, both Catholic and Protestant to partake of the worthless piece of bread.
+Marx as Bishop of Trier suspended the heretic without undue delay. (The priest must have been from the diocese.)
Unfortunately this must have been the reason why Benedict though he was one of the good guys and appointed him to Munich and Freising.

  19. So the old “if it feels good do it” and “if it feels so right how can it be wrong” are the crux of accepting evil? Feelings, passions are the rule of the day? Never mind reason and logic. Man reigns supreme and to hell with God?
If it weren’t for the fact that God’s Kingdom is not of this world I might be tempted to lose hope.

  20. oh so a homosexual wants to bless other homosexuals ??? well who would of imagined?? sodomy blessed – wow – what perversion.

  21. In “That Hideous Strength” by C. S. Lewis, the opponents of Almighty God simply stop making sense in the end–like the Narnian animals which, in “The Last Battle,” are deprived of their (fictional) ability to speak. I realize that I am reading Cardinal Marx’s remarks in a language of which he is not a native speaker. Still, I doubt that what he is saying would be very intelligible even in German.

  22. As I have said before, all of the current goings on in the destruction of the Faith by these men is about Sodomy. In the end, it’s all about legitimizing the sodomites.

    • Didn’t notice this until you pointed it out Fr., but yes indeed, however not at ALL surprising! The sodomites are absolutely running the show.

  23. As with all horror perpetrated upon Holy Mother the Church by Her sinful children, it is much like looking upon the dying body of a loved one….emaciated, gaunt, moaning in pain…..We cringe at the visible disfigurement of the human body caused by disease, but also cling to the fact that the body of our loved one will hopefully one day be resplendent and whole again at the Resurrection. What we see now is the visible crucifixion of Christ’s Mystical Body. Be firm in your resolve to stand firmly no matter how spiritually disfigured She seems. She is Our Mother, and we will be there with Her to the end ONLY if we remain steadfast … the Foot of the Cross with Our Blessed Mother.

  24. I believe we’re in the beginning of the Chastisement, and things are going to get a whole lot worse. God help us, for only He can.

  25. There will be no discrimination: Even the homosexual couples of priests will be blessed.
Let’s rejoice with Karl in the deepest places of Hell: The prestigious family name of Marx is again glorified in the person of one of his descendants, a catholic cardinal !

  26. In 2018 so far, We have had moments of truth that have been rays of light, each time the rays of light appear, I think yes, finally everything is going to be restored but it seems that it’s a deluge of darkness being spread from various factions that have infiltrated the holy church. The darkness is everywhere and even the physical days here in France have been darker than in previous years I suppose that at least all of those people within the church are showing their true colours and not hiding behind a false persona of truth.

We are fortunate that our priest provides regular mass, confession and adoration.

  27. So if two sodomites receive God’s blessing “with respect for a reliable partnership,” but then after a while they decide to “divorce,” will Cardinal Marx allow them to “remarry” and receive Communion, just like heterosexual adulterers?

Clearly, the answer is: “Sure, why not?”

(Hey, with all that money rolling in from the government “Church tax, the German Church can do anything it wants. After all, the Archdiocese of Cologne by itself is richer than the Vatican []. So who cares if German Catholics are fewer and fewer, as long as the Church can hang on to its riches, which it will, certainly if Cardinal Marx has any say in the matter!)

  28. The Archdiocese of Munich is one of the largest and richest dioceses of the world. Whereas there used to be ordination classes of over 30 in the ‘bad old days’ before Vatican II, there were 5-10 priestly ordinations most years until quite recently. However, last year it was reported that only one man entered the diocesan seminary (another man from the archdiocese wen to the FSSP).

If this trend continues, Marx will be rather alone – or not so much alone since he still has a lot of church-tax paid bureaucrats around him. Recently a new central administrative building for the archdiocese was completed – according to the media, with a price-tag of 130 Million Euros. The same reports mention that the chancery has over 800 employees – this is probably more than the number of priests ordained since Vatican II.

(To be fair to Dr Marx – the church tax is linked directly to the national income tax, and so the money he can get from gay couples is much higher than that from families with many children.)

    • From what I see of Dr. Marx, the archdiocese’s monthly employee salary expense is only rivaled by the food bill at the chancery.

      • Too true, Johnny. To be fair, a large sum must also be spent on his palace and his chauffeur-driven BMW. BMWs are made in Munich, so at least he’s backing the home team and preserving local jobs. And the German bishops can always claim that the mind bending money spent on their palaces is needed for conserving historically invaluable buildings (as per the famous Bishop of Bling).

The churches in Munich are magnificent. You can see what the Church used to be like. In 2011 I went to Mass at a cathedral-sized church in the University area. A handful of worshippers were scattered around its expanse. The cathedral at Freising (it is the diocese of Munich-Freising) is eye popping. The huge diocesan museum beside that cathedral is crammed with enthralling exhibits. It has the medals of all the Popes from St Peter to the present day, plus types of religious artifacts which I did not know existed. Some of the monstrances are so big and elaborate that they deserve an individual guide book. The museum building has an old shell, but a stunning modern interior over four stories. The refurbishment alone must have cost a king’s ransom. I was one of only three or four visitors touring this structure and most of the time I was alone with the treasures. What you can do when you have too much money.

        • Depressing, Bill, very depressing. To paraphrase a rightly famous Englishman, “Never in the history of human worship has so much been destroyed by so few in so short a time and for so little.”

    • Supported by taxes collected according to the citizen’s declared religion. No religion no revenue collected from the citizen. No revenue collected you aren’t allowed to receive communion or be buried from the Church, if I am not mistaken.
Their priorities would be deemed comical but for the tragedy that there holds pride of place.
They keep a list. They know your name. They take is very seriously.
      How German.
A decade or two ago Scientology was denied the designation of a religious body. Hopefully someday soon the entity this guy presently represents will face the same fate. That would contribute to the restoration of Roman Catholicism in that land.

  29. Our Lady of Good Success: Prophecies for Our Times:
Prophetic revelations made to Venerable Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres
    . . .
“Our Lady prophesied that at the end of the 19th Century and especially in the 20th Century that Satan would reign almost completely by the means of the Masonic sect. The Queen of Heaven told Mother Mariana that this battle would reach its most acute stage because of various unfaithful religious, who, “under the appearance of virtue and bad–spirited zeal, would turn upon Religion, who nourished them at her breast.” “During this time,” she continued, “insomuch as this poor country will lack the Christian spirit, the Sacrament of Extreme Unction will be little esteemed. Many people will die without receiving it – either because of the negligence of their families or their false sentimentality that tries to protect the sick from seeing the gravity of their situations, or because they will rebel against the spirit of the Catholic Church, impelled by the malice of the devil. Thus many souls will be deprived of innumerable graces, consolations and the strength they need to make that great leap from time to eternity…” “As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and profaned in the fullest sense of the word. Masonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the objective of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin, encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church. The Christian spirit will rapidly decay, extinguishing the precious light of Faith until it reaches the point that there will be an almost total and general corruption of customs. The effects of secular education will increase, which will be one reason for the lack of priestly and religious vocations…”
“The Sacred Sacrament of Holy Orders will be ridiculed, oppressed and despised. …The demon will try to persecute the Ministers of the Lord in every possible way and he will labor with cruel and subtle astuteness to deviate them from the spirit of their vocation, corrupting many of them. These corrupted priests, who will scandalize the Christian people, will incite the hatred of the bad Christians and the enemies of the Roman, Catholic and Apostolic Church to fall upon all priests. This apparent triumph of Satan will bring enormous sufferings to the good Pastors of the Church….”
“Moreover, in these unhappy times, there will be unbridled luxurywhich, acting thus to snare the rest into sin, will conquer innumerable frivolous souls who will be lost. Innocence will almost no longer be found in children, nor modesty in women. In this supreme moment of need of the Church, those who should speak will fall silent.”
“But know, beloved daughter, that when your name is made known in the 20th century, there will be many who will not believe, claiming that this devotion is not pleasing to God…A simple humble faith in the truth of My apparitions to you, My predilect child, will be reserved for humble and fervent souls docile to the inspirations of grace, for Our Heavenly Father communicates His secrets to the simple of heart, and not to those whose hearts are inflated with pride, pretending to know what they do not, or self-satisfied with empty knowledge.”
During this time, Our Lady foretold, “The secular Clergy will leave much to be desired because priests will become careless in their sacred duties. Lacking the divine compass, they will stray from the road traced by God for the priestly ministry, and they will become attached to wealth and riches, which they will unduly strive to obtain. How the Church will suffer during this dark night!

Lacking a Prelate and Father to guide them with paternal love, gentleness, strength, wisdom and prudence, many priests will lose their spirit, placing their souls in great danger. This will mark the arrival of My hour.”

“Therefore, clamor insistently without tiring and weep with bitter tears in the privacy of your heart, imploring our Celestial Father that, for love of the Eucharistic Heart of my Most Holy Son and His Precious Blood shed with such generosity and the profound bitterness and sufferings of His cruel Passion and Death, He might take pity on His ministers and bring to an end those Ominous times, sending to this Church the Prelate who will restore the spirit of its priests.”
    . . .
(This article is based on excerpts taken from the 18th Century manuscript entitled The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana of Jesus Torres, written by Prior Manuel de Souza Pereira, Franciscan Provincial in Quito, Ecuador and director of the Convent Mother Mariana founded. This manuscript was written a century after her death. Mother Mariana is linked mysteriously to our times by the visions Our Lady showed her of the 20th Century over 350 years ago. This apparition has been approved by the Church and Mother Mariana has been declared Venerable in the first step towards her canonization…)

    • Ivan,

Thank you for taking the time to post. I just a prayed a decade of my afternoon rosary for you.

More Catholics should know about this apparition.

      • Dear Timotheus thank you sincerely. You certainly know how much I appreciate your prayer for me. And needless to say to you how much I (and we all) need the prayers of each others. Especially when and if we keep trying and doing effort to stay faithful actively!Be sure you’ll be from this day, also in my daily prayers. I’ve a list with the brothers and sisters in Christ on it, for whom I pray every day. Mine Angel Guardian who is much more intelligent and faster than me, is helping me each day with bringing my daily prayers to our Lord, for me. Because I couldn’t remember everyone, nor have time to mention each time everyone with name, and fore many of them also the special intentions…
You are a living evidence of the truth, how one who is doing good, receive multiple good.
God bless you and all beloved yours.
PS. If you in the future remember me again, put then please in your prayers my close family too.
        Thank you again.

    • Our Lady of Good Success amazingly has predicted our present state of affairs. I am particularly intrigued by Our Lady mentioning the Masonic sects controlling so much of the world. This control is so pervasive that few people are aware of Freemasonry’s control. I would say that most Catholics have no clue about this.

      • Indeed. Many are just too lazy. Not stupid or unschooled or similar, but just indifferent. And that’s one of the biggest weapons of the devil, who makes people be just indifferent about important things, and that means also doing effort (instead being lazy), and on the other side, he (devil) makes people very concerning, especially about false, fake respect for a man (so-called conciseness to never and by no chance offend your neighbor) …
Those people are living in imagination that everything is just fine, or maybe even not, but you know, whatever, – it will become better,… and everything happens just incidentally, without any connection whatsoever…
Where, on the other hand, such people the others ones who think and believe and use their Faith in combination with the heart & brain, accuse for vagueness and unhealthy fantasies and imagination of some conspiracy theories…
For them freemasonry maybe exist, but it’s nothing to worry about. Just like islam which is, you know, just another ‘religion of peace’,… or the very HELL which also maybe and even probably exist, but is absolutely empty, or maybe just filled with a few or more demons, … for one time…

  30. So now the Church under Pope Francis will be sanctioning sin. Great! How wonderful for Satan. He rules the Church, which was always his intention.

  31. He is just adding another scandal to the Church wrapped in the devil’s smoke, and starting to resemble some branches of Protestantism.Soon the rainbow flag will be flying over doors of Catholic Churches.I am so disheartened, disappointed and angry at Pope Francis, certain hierarchy members and J.Martin Jesuit priest for trying to adulterate the Catholic Faith! Where are the faithful Shepherds except for a handful brave ones publicly defending perennial Church Magisterium!

  32. A joke.

Cardinal Marx and two men in a “reliable partnership” walk into a bar. The bartender looks at them, and says, “Get the **** out of here!!”

    • The true Christians will be hunted down like rats within 25 years, even the
non-conforming Protestants, though Catholics will be the most despised of all. Probably
after the limited and controlled Third World War that’s ahead. This will be all part of the so-called
minor-chastisement of the Church and the World as prophesied.

  33. Pope Francis condemns fake news and compared it to the serpent in Eden. He is completely silent, blind and deaf when bishops and cardinals propose fake Catholic Church teaching and go against the CCC and the Gospel. He is called to teach, defend and protect the deposit of the revealed TRUTH of the Catholic faith – as Vicar of Christ. Cardinals and Bishops, like Kasper, Reinhard Marx, Fraz-Joseph Bode, Johannes Zu Eltz; those in Malta, Buenos Aires and Chicago; Paglia, Chiodi, and Fr. James Martin; the majority of Bishops who are silent etc., have the full support of the Pope to teach and propagae heresy. These and many others are the true serpents deceiving the faithful. They are working hard to cover up their own disordered-none celibate life style. The Pope should start to worry more about this heresy and talk less about breast feeding during Mass.

  34. One its the feeling that so long as one can shoehorn the words “accompany,” “dialogue,” and “mercy” into a declaration it’s strictly a case of “Anything goes!”

From Marx—it figures his name is Marx, right?—to Pope Francis, we seem to be witnessing mental neurasthenia, intellectual exhaustion, I’ve no-time-to-think-about-it-so-accompany-this!

  35. Absolutely no surprise. The wretched “Church” in Germany is still rolling in money from its Kirchensteuer and it reportedly passes a big chunk to the Vatican, so no one is going to upset the financial applecart. Having been to Bavaria several time and seen the magnificent churches, plus the superb museums crammed with wonderful objects from the long Catholic history of that land, it makes me want to weep.

On the BBC Radio 4 religious affairs programme “Sunday” on 4th February 2018, there was an extended interview between a BBC reporter and an American evangelical minister who had prayed with Donald Trump. The BBC reporter was understandably giving the minister a hard time on the subject of homosexuality, pointing out that many “Christians” disagreed with his opposition to sodomy. The minister gave a humane and considered explanation of his attitude to same sex couples and how he was prepared to embrace them wholeheartedly without embracing their sin. His attitude was very close to a properly Catholic pastoral approach. But the fact that Scripture very visibly condemns this sin cut no ice with the interviewer; he continued to press the public fragmentation of “Christian” witness.

And any Catholic who tries to push traditional morality within the Church will find himself up against the “who am I to judge” crew. Pope Francis gave this ludicrous excuse after rewarding Monsignor Ricca for rampant sodomy, including sex with an underage prostitute, by elevating him to his household. The former world wide Master of the Dominicans, Timothy Radcliffe, has told us how wonderful and tender gay sex can be….and he was appointed to a Vatican post. Archbishop Paglia, late of Terni, commissioned a gay/paedophile themed mural for his cathedral; he then was moved to a Vatican post dealing with families.

  36. What is a “theological blessing” in comparison to the marital sacrament? Applying this blessing to a “couple” in the context of a romantic “relationship” sounds an awful lot like homosexual matrimony. Jesus has made clear the teaching on the topic. It is an abomination and sin. We are all sinners, we all deserve death, the Church is to provide guidance on avoiding sin and finding salvation. Marx proposes blessing it… in the Church established by Jesus, himself. What have we come to? Show me the “circumstantial” example where this would be acceptable to God.

  37. I have heard rumors that the worst is yet to come, it seems march/april will bring something really big, but I don’t know exactly what (no need so much imagination any more)… Wait and see (and pray).

  38. “We’ve had enough of exhortations to be silent! Cry out with a hundred thousand tongues. I see that the world is rotten because of silence.” – St. Catherine of Siena

  39. Breitbart just picked up on the story…as well as the Bergoglio/Barros debacle.
    It ain’t pretty.
“Just who is causing all the scandal in the Church?” one might ask the James Martins and Maximo Faggioli’s — and a Bergoglio, Sosa, Marx and Spadaro to boot.
    Just who?
