Dr. Brian Kopp is a contributor here at 1P5, the Chairman of the Pro-Life Healthcare Alliance (among other incredible work), and a man I’ve known in the online Catholic world for many years. He is also a husband and father.
Today, he is in serious need of your prayers.
He recently told me that his health had been suffering badly, and that he had not only suffered a stroke last July, but a two more mini-strokes earlier this month. Apparently, it didn’t end there.
I got word earlier today that Brian has now suffered his fifth stroke, and this most recent one has really taken a toll on him. I’m told that he is now partially paralyzed and has lost most of his hearing. He is currently being transferred to UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh for surgery tomorrow, Wednesday, March 23rd to remove the blood clot in his brain stem. His wife is asking for a miracle of healing. She’s an amazingly strong woman.
His family has a lot of hope because the doctor he’ll be seeing is one of the best in the country – but this is a critical time for him, and the outcome is uncertain.
Please keep him and his family in your intentions throughout this Holy Week. I’ll post an update when I know more.
