The first episode of the OnePeterFive Podcast offers some insights into why I started this website, a look at the top stories over the last seven days, and an interview with Andrew Bieszad, whose articles about Islam have been immensely popular.

You sound great Steve! I’m looking forward to more.
Thanks so much!
Awesome! Great start!
Hey Steve, first podcast? sheesh. sounded very professional! And the content was fascinating. “More! More!” as she pounds on the board.
Thanks, Tina! I’m excited to do the next one.
How does one subscribe to this, Steve? I’m not seeing a podcast feed for this.
The full feed is here: https://onepeterfive.wpengine.com/?feed=podcast
Not sure how to make that show up on the site page without conflicting with the full site feed.
Cool — that worked on Pocket Casts.
For now, you could manually add a link to each of the podcast posts so it can be discovered manually.
I’d recommend submitting your podcast to the iTunes directory as well, as that’s a really popular method of discovery.
A lot of the major podcast clients use their users’ feeds to populate their directories, so you may want to consider downloading a bunch of podcast apps and subscribing to this podcast with them. Link to instructions:

If you need any help, feel free to ping me.
I’ve signed up for all the networks (iTunes, Soundcloud, Blubrry, Stitcher) that I can think of. Waiting on approval.
Is there a feed that your application pulls from this page?
https://onepeterfive.wpengine.com/podcast/
That’s the repository where all the podcasts will show up as they are published.
Nope. Doesn’t pull the feed. Which is strange, because I see the list of feeds in the source, and my Chrome plugin lists it now when I try to list all the feeds on a page. Honestly, your syntax looks correct.
It’s in the podcast directories now for Pocket Casts and Overcast, but neither can find the feed in the URL above.
Just got this email back from Pocket Casts:
Hi Steve,
Your podcast is available through Pocket Casts and your listeners can easily add it using the following custom share URL on their device or the web http://pca.st/onepeterfive

Got around to listening to the podcast during my commute last night and this morning. Good stuff. Looking forward to more.
Is there a schedule for this podcast? Or is it going to be a “whenever Steve can fit it in to his busy schedule” type of thing?
Plan is to do it weekly if I can keep up with it and drop the production time. This first one took longer to put together than I would have liked. But now I have some of the pre-packaged audio ready to go, and some of the technical details worked out.
