For the second time in a month, we’ve had a post begin generating errors and failing to load once the number of comments on it approaches 400. We believe this is a problem with the Disqus plugin, so we’ve had to turn it off for now, until we can find a solution.
This means that the posts in question will load, and the comments should work – just not the way you’re used to.
We’ll turn Disqus back on as soon as we’re able. Thanks for your patience.

Steve Skojec is the Founding Publisher of OnePeterFive.com. He received his BA in Communications and Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2001. His commentary has appeared in The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, Crisis Magazine, EWTN, Huffington Post Live, The Fox News Channel, Foreign Policy, and the BBC. Steve and his wife Jamie have eight children. You can find more of his writing at his Substack, The Skojec File.
Strange if this is being caused by the number of comments against a post. CM’s “A DISGRACE TO THE CHAIR OF PETER” has 515+ comments and counting.
May I suggest we could all do without Disqus. Many including myself, have had constant blockings traceable back to Disqus. I can’t speak for others but I never express an opinion which is not in so far as I can check, in line with Catholic orthodoxy. I always have and, or am prepared to quote my sources. I do not criticise the current Pontiff and I never us “not nice” words.
We can do without Disqus?
I know a lot of Catholics think Douthat is great.
May want to rethink what he’s really about.
