A Crucial Christmas Appeal

Dear OnePeterFive donors, supporters and readers,

One of the lies of Liberalism and Marxism is a prideful faith in man’s power of central planning. The idea that if we just create a system, a huge bureaucracy, we can pull all the strings to make that planned utopia come about.

Pope Francis and his Vatican regime of Iconoclasm have been attempting to make Cardinal Martini’s dream a reality with all their central planning to bring about the reign of the “[Anti-]Church of Synodal Synodality.

They think if they just set everything up just right, this wicked dream will come true. We just had the #SchismaticWay in Rome, after which it came to light that the Pope is trying to rig the next papal election. And someone in the Vatican thinks they can stop the Gospel by removing Bishop Strickland. Behold, the hubris of the Vatican bureaucracy!

Yet despite all of this, here at OnePeterFive, we swim in beauty — the beauty of the Holy Mass, of churches and altars worthy of the Blessed Sacrament, of soaring music, historic tradition, and truth — even where it is unwelcome.

Yes, we keep an eye on all that is wicked in the world, and, yes, we call a spade a spade, even when in Rome. But ultimately, our goal is to keep alive all that is true, good, and beautiful —even if the prelates who run the Church seek to destroy it.

In times such as these, I believe God in His abundant mercy pours out extraordinary grace to bring us, His children, through a mysterious participation in His Passion. And for those who remain faithful, we will mysteriously participate in His Resurrection.

At OnePeterFive, we labor, cheerfully and confidently, for the return of Christendom — and we’re doing everything on our power to help bring it about. We exist as a place to rebuild the Catholic ethos that was once dominant but now lost. We’re here to spotlight the problems and offer concrete solutions.

But at this moment, I need to raise $60,000 to cover the costs of operating OnePeterFive for the first half of next year.

We generally need to bring in $10,000 per month, or $120,000 per year, to cover staff costs, hosting, technical fees, accounting, and so on.

As you can imagine, we don’t attract large advertisers with deep pockets. Nor do we charge for the content we produce. Instead, we rely solely on you to sustain our work.

So I am again turning to you to visit our secure online donation form and please support, sustain, and grow OnePeterFive by making a tax-deductible gift of $25, $30, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, or even more today

We can become an even stronger and louder voice for orthodox Catholicism in 2024, but we do need your help. Will you please make your tax-deductible gift today?

Any amount you give will be welcome, whether it is $25, $50, $100, $250, $1,000, or even $5,000 or more.

If you are able, will you sponsor OnePeterFive for a week with a gift of $2,500? Or a full month for $10,000?

If you are able to become a monthly contributor to OnePeterFive you will be giving us the clearest path to the stability and predictability we so desperately need. You can become a monthly contributor by checking the box on the enclosed reply form.

Please help us broaden and amplify our resounding voice speaking up for the Church and its people in the dizzying array of crises we are currently facing. Please consider supporting OnePeterFive with the most generous gift you can afford this Christmas season.

And of course, remember us with your prayers and sacrifices. Beg the intercession of the saints on our behalf, especially our patrons. We’re happy to be out front suffering the slings and arrows, but we do need you behind us.

For your role is as important as ours.

God Bless you,

P.S. It’s not rare for us to find ourselves swimming upstream. That’s actually what we do at OnePeterFive. We call out to our Church, its leaders, our friends and fellow believers to boldly live out the call of Christ in courage, in truth, and in abandonment to love’s demands.

It’s not a welcome message in an age of secular hedonism, whose tentacles touch everything, reaching even to our souls. It’s not welcome even among our fellow Catholics. Nevertheless, we are happy — in fact, called — to carry this countercultural message, to offer this challenge.

But we shouldn’t need to swim upstream when it comes to asking for support. You are our friends, and we need you to please share your gift today, one that is appropriate for your circumstances. Please make us a part of your annual charitable giving — for preserving the Faith is the most important cause of all.

Thank you in advance for making a generous, tax-deductible gift to OnePeterFive today!
