One of the rules of effective communication is not to say things when you’re angry.
But I can’t stop being angry.
Every day there is an endless parade of stupidity, malice, debauchery, and violence that assaults our senses and steals our peace.
This week, I’ve been helping an elderly family member with a move, and I have been away from my desk more often than not. The work has been hot, dirty, and tiring, but in a way, it’s a welcome relief. Because every time I get near a computer I don’t know what to say.
I’m sick to death with what is happening in the Church and the world. I’m overwhelmed with the feeling of futility in attempting to fight it. I see good people making the best efforts they can to do their part, and people — even people who agree with them — seek to trivialize their efforts, because “nobody is going to listen.”
We deal mostly in these pages with the attacks coming from within the Church. And believe me, I’m more than at my limit with theological terrorism – which is exactly what is being perpetrated by our pope and his cadre of destroyers.
But then this afternoon, as I was scrolling through stories trying to find something I could write about without wanting to just give up, the reports started coming in about the terrorist attack in Nice.
60 dead. 70 dead. People run over with a truck. Then I came across this:
It’s not the only photo I’ve seen. Others show bodies strewn in the streets, or the Eiffel Tower on fire. But the body of that little girl lying in the road has me at a breaking point.
I am nauseous as I write, my jaw clenched tightly to hold back the bile. I’m furious too, and I can feel the snarl on my face. And as I look at that little body, and like every parent, imagine what it would be like if it were one of my girls, I grieve.
Political correctness has wrought this. Progressivism, liberalism, and the irresponsible leadership of the Western world. American presidents, European prime ministers and chancellors, and yes, the pope.
Islam has not officially been blamed yet, but it never is. Not at first. Because again, political correctness. (Reports are already coming in that the Islamic State is claiming responsibility). Using vehicles to mow down crowds is a known jihadist tactic, and they continue to strike at France for reasons they have already explained. ISIS has made their intentions clear — a year ago — but how many have forgotten? How many realize that they see their fight as a war between the followers of the prophet and those of Christ?
Let France and those who walk in its path know that they will remain on the top of the list of targets of the Islamic State, and that the smell of death will never leave their noses as long as they lead the convoy of the Crusader campaign, and dare to curse our Prophet, Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, and are proud of fighting Islam in France and striking the Muslims in the land of the Caliphate with their planes, which did not help them at all in the streets of Paris and its rotten alleys. This attack is the first of the storm and a warning to those who wish to learn.
A year ago, after the first ISIS attacks in Paris, I said,
Tomorrow, the narrative that what happened in Paris has nothing to do with true Islam will be echoed by the global elites. Pope Francis will join them, failing, once again, to lead Catholics in the truth, and lending religious credibility to the great Islamic lie.
This will also help to ensure that those Parisians, Frenchmen, Europeans, and others throughout the world will not look to Catholicism as the answer to the Islamic threat, because it is feckless, dishonest, and pathetic. Which means that they will instead turn to political zealotry, to a new fascism, to dangerous ideologies, hatred, and indiscriminate violence. They will fight not like true crusaders, but like desperate men, and desperate men do awful things.
This could all have been prevented. Many have warned of what’s coming, myself among them. But self-delusion is an awful drug.
The leaders of the Brexit movement have rebuffed claims of “xenophobia”, instead claiming that it was economic in nature, a nation wishing to govern itself autonomously for a brighter future. The rise of the European right is pegged to similar causes. And they are about such things, at least in part.
But if you don’t think every Leave voter had the endless string of terror attacks — and the unchecked immigration that fuels them — in mind, you’re a fool. Europe is right to fear Islam. But Europe — and the rest of the West — is not spiritually equipped to fight Islam. And this is why fascism, or some other form of radical exclusivist and militant nationalism, is almost an inevitability. Evangelii Gaudium 253 — and by extension, the Catholic Church — is wrong about Islam. The crusader spirit was once a thoroughly Catholic impulse. If you don’t believe that, read what the saints had to say about Islam. We have abandoned this in favor of polite self-deception.
Islam is a supremacist ideology, and it hates you. Not because you’re free, but because you’re not a part of this death cult of barbarism. Islam will always seek to subjugate, kill, or convert any that do not subscribe to its horrifying beliefs. It will keep coming. It will not stop. It must be driven out of our nations, suppressed, and if possible, destroyed. Individual Muslims must be converted or rendered harmless. It is certainly possible to make the distinction between the adherents and the belief. The belief is toxic; the believers are intoxicated. One can only hope that through Our Lady of Fatima — Fatimah, the name of Mohammed’s favorite daughter — these people can find salvation in Jesus Christ and His Church. But they must first be liberated from their diabolical beliefs. Beliefs that allow them to do unspeakable things.
If we continue to ignore the reality that Islam presents, we deserve what is coming. Sadly, it often seems to be the case that the people who are most afraid of this reality bear the brunt of Islamic reprisals. The people who avert their eyes from Muslims in public, keep their heads down, never say a word about their fears, and deadbolt their doors at night. Meanwhile the leaders who have sold us down the river are protected; safe. They take our guns while surrounded by armed guards. They call us racists and Islamophobes and xenophobes to try to shame us into acquiescence, to make us completely vulnerable to unexpected death.
I’ve got news for you: it’s not a phobia if you’re afraid of a real threat. And if you’re not afraid of Islamic expansion, and all that comes with it, it’s time for you to wake up. Read what Islam actually is, what it actually teaches. Stop making excuses for it. It is not now, nor has it ever been, a religion of peace. It is a religion of dominance and subjugation, treating all outside its confines as less than human, subjects only of conquest.
Islam must be driven out, as it was out of Europe once before. Belloc warned us that it would return as the West at last gave up its Christian faith. He was right.
What are we going to do about it?
Er … it will get a lot worse before it gets better but as things get worse, it also means redemption is just around the corner.

Individually, pray and be saints. Some will be martyrs, and some will be the ones involved in the revival after the Church’s persecution has passed, both will glory in the liberty and exaltation of Holy Mother Church which is just around the corner.

When I read about the Pope only bringing Muslims out of danger, and leaving Christians there ….I felt a great betrayal. Betrayal after betrayal by this Pope. ….

The Pope and Obama seem to be working in tandem. The cohesiveness of the two of them in ideology is truly frightening. Yes, I felt a deep sense of betrayal when he pulled that stunt of not bringing one single christian back with him. But not only is he throwing Christians in the Middle East to the wolves literally, he is throwing the souls of millions to the wolves with his anti catholic declarations, encyclicals, etc. He is destroying souls which is worse than destroying the body!!!! Anyone that buys into the notion that he is ‘unaware’ of what he’s doing is delusional. He is working in tandem with the NWO group. (U.N. etc) But yes, we MUST pray for him, as Jesus asked us to pray for and love our ‘enemies’. The Pope is indeed an ‘enemy’ of the faithful and it is VERY difficult to not become seething with anger on a consistent basis when one witnesses the destruction of Christ’s Church that he is directly and in your face responsible for, day after day after day. We must ask the Blessed Mother to help in this area, that we do not become bitter and hateful ourselves and maybe put this ‘righteous anger’ to good use. It’s not a sin to be angry in the face of evil, but the sin lies in our response to it. The Pope seems to be blind to the evil he perpetuates, I try and have pity on him, and I pray for him daily. It helps believe it or not, to pray for him consistently, but I pray for his CONVERSION!

I do not think that he took them to the Vatican I think that if the media reports Re correct it was the government of Italy that became responsible for their care. Also my wife told me that some Syrian Christians had been assured that they would be taken by the pope and were left behind according to an article that she read in the online press.

That is also how I felt when I saw a picture of a young girl screaming after undergoing genital mutilation by her Islamic “family”–and hearing over and over again how we are somehow supposed to regard this sick religion as our ally in the fight for the Culture of Life. It does not matter whether the “true” reading of the Koran promotes peace or violence. You have two options: convince Muslims that they should read it peacefully, or convince them to give up their religion. You argue for the second here. But you are simply not sane if you believe that over a billion people are going to give up their religion in anything less than many centuries. And to the degree that you do convince Mulims — as you might succeed in doing — that their choices are to be violent or to give up their religion, you will convince them to become more violent. Thus, your plan is bound to fail, and is not a reasonable one: the only reasonable plan is to convince Muslims to read the Koran peacefully, even if that is an objective misreading of the text.

I am not assuming that. I said that it was a bad idea to declare war on a billion people. I did not say how they would respond if you did.
Steve however did assume it was possible to convince a billion people to abandon their religion, and it is even less likely for a billion people to do that, than to go to war.
Well, I’m not sure half or more of that billion people would be resistant to leaving Islam. Women. Their children. That’s more than half. Then you take the men who don’t want to fight and that’s probably at least half of the half left. So the problem is not nearly as big as a billion. Add to that the inability of the Islamic world to unite (ask Erdogan), and you’ve got splinters of people, with many of them lacking training and education who know they will be easily defeated in the face of real resistance–a West who desires self-preservation. The real problem is our leaders, not the billion muslims.

It is not clear that it did. Their attitude was, “This is what we believe, this is what we are always going to believe, and we don’t want to hear anything against it.” They did not mention anything about a death penalty. It was no different from the way you would probably be resistant to leaving Catholicism.
That said, I agree that such a death sentence is a significant impediment to people leaving. That is all the more reason that telling them, as Steve does, “Either be violent, in accord with the teachings of your religion, or abandon your religion,” is an extremely bad idea. They will not abandon it, for all the reasons that people normally will not abandon their religion, and also because of the death sentence. Most people will indeed resort to violence rather than allow themselves to killed; so if you tell them that the only alternative to violence is to abandon their religion and likely get killed as apostates, they will be quite likely to engage in violence, in order to save their lives.

I would first suggest you correct your misstatement of his words. Second, to suggest that women who are subjugated in Islam (who have few rights, are considered chattel, can be divorced simply by a man saying so, have no rights as far as their children are concerned, suffer honor killings and on AND on) would resist leaving just as a Catholic woman would be resistant to leaving Catholicism is an intentionally insulting analogy. That was not a quotation, and was not meant to be, even if I used quotation marks. I was describing an action, namely the action of saying that to Muslims. Yes I attributed it to Steve, and that is because that is the force of his position, because he argues against the only tenable course of action, namely convincing Muslims to behave peacefully while remaining Muslims.
Second, there was certainly no”intentionally insulting analogy” in my comment. I was stating a fact, and appealing to your empathy as a human being. You know how it would feel for someone to tell you to leave your religion; well, it feels like that for other human beings too, even when they have a different religion. If you don’t understand that, you are distinctly lacking in human empathy.
Trying to convince Muslims to behave peacefully while remaining Muslims is a fool’s errand. Mohammed was not peaceful, nor did he advise peace. He is the model for every Muslim’s life. No matter how moderate they are today, at any moment, if they desire to become more devout, they can radicalize in a very short time.
Study the ISIS-related attacks over the past year. Examine the “normalcy” of those who decided to kill and maim and die. Just months before they made their decision to do it, they were almost all known as just regular people, not fanatics.
Islam and Christendom are now, and have always been, incompatible.

Basically you are saying that you cannot convince all of them to be peaceful all of the time. I agree. But it is far harder to convince a person to abandon their religion than to convince them to be peaceful. So if it is a fool’s errand to try to convince them to be peaceful, it is much more of one to try to convince them to abandon their religion. That just means that there is no way to solve the problem completely. But you will make the most progress by convincing them to be peaceful, not by convincing them to abandon their religion, because the first thing will be more successful than the second.
The point is, and I won’t belabor it further: the official texts of Islam exhort the followers of Islam to violence and perversity.
Telling them to stay Islamic but not be violent is like telling them to stay Nazi but be cool to the Jews. The only way it can work is if they’re not really invested in the ideology, but then, why stay?
And if they’re nominalists, all it takes is one fiery Imam, a personal crisis, and a few hours with the Sira, Hadith, and Koran, and you’ve got a killer who believes they can leave all the suffering in this life behind for a paradise full of carnal pleasures.
Reading a Catholic Bible would be more to the point. God can change the minds & hearts of anyone if they turn to Him.
I recall that the Mother of God could convert millions of people instantaneously as she did in Mexico and in Portugal.

Sometimes it is good to get angry. Get it all out there, better than letting it fester inside. Remember though that others are very angry also & listen to them. This pope doesn’t – neither his Modernist Hierarchy. Those not of the same ilk i.e. Cardinal Sarah & Bishop Schneider, will get the knock but should wear it as a badge of honour for Christ. The whole degradation of the CC as some of us once knew it, is making Catholics turn against Catholics instead of tackling the real issue MODERNISM.
Prayer & fasting is, of course, the backbone of our armoury but where action is required we must step up to the plate. The lack of action so far in confronting Modernism with the force that is required by the Vatican & secular governments has not been forthcoming as they are totally embroiled in this ideology. They are not on God’s side but Lucifer’s. Being ahead of these Modernists would be of great assistance so having moles inside the Vatican is of the utmost necessity. Necessity is the mother of invention so why aren’t our best brains even considering playing intellect games with PF & coterie? With inside intelligence this could make a difference to the scam they having all been working since VII and with positive action being shown, our prayers would add the extra force we need to conquer these demons once & for all.

Perhaps it’s high time for the people of France to do to the current political establishment what the revolution did to the old order. The Islamic State is a dog on a leash. It has a master who feeds and grooms it and takes it for the occasional walk in your neighbourhood. Then the dog is let loose, it mauls your children and the master runs away, claims no responsibility, but continues to insist that his dogs are peaceful and that they should be allowed to walk. The only way to prevent further dogs is to castrate the master first and lock him up. He lives on all our blocks.

It didn’t escape my notice that this happened while the French were celebrating Bastille Day.
The only way out of this is 1) when the Holy Father reveals the Third Secret of Fatima, I.e. the exact words of Our Lady which follow:. ‘In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved…” and 2) the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
That’s the only way the crisis in the Church will end.

Well, Steve, I hate to be seen as someone who does agree with you — wholeheartedly — and yet “belittles your efforts” because “nobody will listen,” because belittling your efforts is the last thing I want to do, but the sad fact is that the answer to your question is pretty much just “More of the same.” There has already been the explosion of pathetic “We stand with France,” “Our thoughts are with France,” “Our prayers are with France,” and the like. (Not meaning to belittle prayer — it is a powerful thing, without a doubt the most powerful thing we can do, except I dare say most people expressing that sentiment have no idea what true prayer is beyond some kind of wishful thinking directed at a God whom they have no time for except when they want or need something.) And, you know what? (Actually I know that you do, because you express it yourself in your cri de coeur which pretty much sums up how I feel today) — as a society we will do anything whatsoever not to admit the truths which you enunciate so well. Islam is from hell, Islam wants to kill us. But we, as a society, do not have the will to face that reality and so, within days, we will forget this latest atrocity, or more likely, have it driven from our attention by yet another. Because the Muslims are watching our pathetic reaction and laughing at us as they plan their next attack.
Stop with the empty rhetoric. “What are we going to about it?” What are YOU going to about it? Why don’t you enlist in the military? You might get the chance to fight ISIS. You could travel Kirkuk in Northern Iraq and fight with the Kurds. They welcome Americans to join the fight and will let you drop bodies. If you were Commander in Chief; what would be your plan?

I think you are on the right track. Islam is very bad theology with a few centuries of mythology layered on top of it. When fighting bad theology, good theology is probably more effective than guns (which work fine against evil persons, but less well against evil ideas). Only small pockets of the Catholic Church, however, are capable of doing good theology at this time. Likewise, only a tiny number of Islamic studies scholars are willing to challenge the foundational myth of Islam. If Mohammed is no more grounded in history than Odysseus or Batman, then wouldn’t we want to start by stopping our legitimation of that mythology? How many persons, after all, would be willing to kill or die for Batman?
First things first, as my mother used to say. Being a faithful husband and father is foremost.

You are doing a PHENOMENAL job! Your ministry is CRUCIAL to the help of faithful Christians, and/but your FIRST responsibility is to your beautiful family that God has BLESSED you with. I echo others who say…..’take some time off’ maybe some kind of retreat if possible? Spend some more time with your beautiful family, He knows you need rest too! God has given you this talent to help His children navigate the mine field that we are walking through, so keep on blogging, but rest as well, it’s as important as the job you are doing is! Have you ever made the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola? The SSPX has 3 retreat houses – Los Gatos CA, Phoenix AZ, and Ridgefield CT (203-431-0201) which would probably be the closest to VA. I’ve been on retreat with ladies who had large families and still made a retreat.
Last week (7/10) was my niece’s birthday. She is now 17. The same day a priest I knew dropped dead of a heart attack after the 11 am Liturgy. His body was found Monday morning.
God took one and gave the gift of life to another. Why did He take such a good priest? I don’t know.
What I do know is that this was a wake-up call for me. I need to get my spiritual life back on track. (He was only 3 years older than me.).
Every time I start to feel sorry for myself, something like this happens to me.
On a related note, did you notice how packed the church was at the funeral service for those who died in that massacre? How much do you want to bet that there were more people attending that funeral than attend Sunday Mass in a month?

How well I know the feeling you describe. Any thinking man would be enraged by the destruction of clarity and doctrine wrought by this Pope. I find I have to take a break from modern day news and read the older papal writings, mostly if not all, pre-Vat II. They’re models of clarity. PF just seems to put out Hallmark-card quality sentimentality. I don’t know what awaits us but it appears that God doesn’t offer us that knowledge now. So our role is to be faithful to our callings in life, and stay close to our Lord, and there are bound to be differences in opinion about the best way to do the latter. I had to wait two days before I could read the coverage about the attack in Nice. All it took was for me to hear one newscast on the radio about how men, women, and CHILDREN were mowed down. I think I reached my limit finally. I went to mass the day after and wept, but that was all I could do. After separating myself I was finally able to go back and read more details, but the leaders of the world, whether secular or religious, have got to finally face the truth and realize that making nice only makes things worse. Blood and more blood will continue to fall until the instigators are subdued as all fascists must be.

Christianity prepares believers for the possibility of being persecuted minorities.
