Paul Badde was born in 1948. He was an editor and reporter for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and has served as a correspondent for the Berlin daily newspaper Die Welt in Jerusalem, Rome, and the Vatican (2000-2013). He is the editor ofVatican-Magazin, and since 2013, he has served as correspondent and author for EWTN in Rome, as well as for the Catholic News Agency. Badde, who also taught high school history and political science, has authored numerous books. He is married, and is the father of three sons and two daughters.
