Matthew Hazell is a convert from evangelical Protestantism, who was received into the Catholic Church in 2008. He has a B.A. (Hons.) in biblical and applied theology from the University of Wales (Bangor) and an M.A. in biblical studies from the University of Sheffield, U.K. He writes variously on liturgy, the Second Vatican Council, and the 20th-century liturgical reforms and is an occasional contributor to the New Liturgical Movement website as well as having published two books (Index Lectionum: A Comparative Table of Readings for the Ordinary and Extraordinary Forms of the Roman Rite in 2016 and The Proper of Time in the Post-Vatican II Liturgical Reforms in 2018). He lives with his wife in the United Kingdom.
