Dr. Claudio Pierantoni was born in Rome, 1965. Is married to a Chilean woman and has two daughters. Studied classical philology and then specialized in patristics and history of Christianism at the Institutum Patristicum Augustinianum and got a Ph.D. in history of Christianity at Rome University (La Sapienza). Has been professor of history of the ancient Church and patrology at the Faculty of Theology in Santiago, Chile. He then got a Ph.D. in philosophy at the Universidad de Los Andes (Santiago). At present, teaches medieval philosophy at the University of Chile. His main lines of investigation are the Christological and Trinitarian controversies of the ancient Church, St. Augustine, the philosophical problem of Truth, and natural theology.
