I first met Mr. Theo Howard online a few years ago through connections we made through his podcast, formerly known as Vendée Radio, now rebranded as The Two Cities Podcast.

Since then we’ve carried on a long dialogos on all things lay nobility and the crisis in the Church. In Theo I’ve found a common cause in defence of Tradition in the ruins of the Anglo-American Empire.

Over the years, I’ve found his work on the lay nobility to be among the most enlightening and inspiring for our times. This is because Theo’s work is rooted deeply in the tradition and spirituality of lay nobility, coming out of the deep legacy of English Catholicism, which manfully resisted the heretical Anglican regime from 1534 to 1829 (“The English Catholic Soul pt. I: Ethnicity, Anglicanism, and Our Lady’s Dowry” “The English Catholic Soul pt. II: Genius of Government and the Fall from Grace“).

That’s why I’m grateful for his work as part of the editorial board here at OnePeterFive. One podcast that has continually impacted me for four years since shortly after I took over as editor of OnePeterFive was a conversation between Mr. Howard and Mr. James Bogle and Dr. Sebastian Morello on clericalism:

Recently I was blessed to be able to sit down with him once again to chat about lay nobility and the Two Swords dogma non definitum:
