Dear OnePeterFive Confraternity members, supporters and readers,

Today is Friday within the Octave of Corpus Christi. Our Sacred Heart campaign is meant to spread the love of the Eucharistic Heart by distributing Bishop Schneider’s Crusade of Eucharistic Reparation Manual. This cause is the heart and soul of our lay apostolate – our crusade sodality – and we are trying our best to promote this in June in particular. With joy we will join the American Bishops to consecrate these United States to the Sacred Heart next week, but even more, we call on all Catholics to dedicate ourselves ever more deeply to His Eucharistic Heart.

We spend a lot of time talking about what the Pope can do to fix the Church. But to paraphase an American President, “Ask not what the Pope can do for you, but what you can do for the Church.” As lay people, we can do a lot, but we’re not doing it. Why? Ask the Lord that question. He has an answer. This crusade manual will guide you into the interior life of reparation. This is the true solution to the problems in the Church. What happens if we get a perfect, saintly Pope – will that automatically make the faithful live a life of repentance? No, it won’t. Only the Eucharistic Heart can do that. So join our Sacred Heart Campaign and then get off the internet and on your knees.

Once again I had the joy of speaking with His Excellency about what the laity can actually do in our time. In this conversation, he shares some of the depth of his own sufferings in his family growing up in the Soviet Union and their devotion to the Eucharist. Here, it seems, we find the heart of his priesthood.

Please invoke our patrons for our lay apostolate:

Theotokos of Fatima, pray for us!

Blessed Emperor Karl, model layman, pray for us!

St. Maximilian Kolbe, model priest, pray for us!

Sr. Wilhelmina, model for the laity, pray for us!

Holy Father Nicholas, pray for us!
